			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Traditionally, drinking a protein shake was assigned to athletes and dieters. Not any more!   </strong></p>
<p><strong>People on the “go” want an easy to prepare a meal or snack.  Drinking your nutrients without exerting the energy of digestion will reduce overall stress.  I frequently tell my clients:  if you are stressed don&#8217;t eat until you can savor every bite.  You can&#8217;t assimilate nutrients if you are experiencing a “flight or flight” adrenaline rush. A daily liquid meal does not need much blood to process it.   This is less stress on the body. </strong></p>
<p><strong>When picking a protein shake, it should be from a raw source with a high ph, organic and not dairy based.   Raw hemp is packed with nutrients and live enzymes that improve digestion and absorption.  It has a high quality of branched amino acids. The branched amino acids are leucine, isoleucine and valine.   Muscle tissue is high in branched chain amino acids. Strength training and endurance activity uses up greater amounts of branched chain amino acids than regular daily activities.  Branched chain amino acid are  in animal food including dairy products and hemp. </strong></p>
<p><strong>A lot of people like whey protein! Whey is controversial.  It is from milk. Milk protein allergy affects a lot of people  I know because I test for food sensitivities.  Food sensitivities might be derived from the pasteurization process. Pasteurization denatures fragile milk proteins and renders them allergenic.  It also destroys lactase, the enzyme necessary for digesting lactose, the naturally occurring sugar in milk.  A simple switch to fresh from the farm raw milk solves both of these problems.  Hemp protein has a good quality branched chain amino acid plus the added benefit of essential fatty acids.   Both whey and hemp improve the immune system.  The disturbing issue with milk is exposure to high levels of radioactivity due to the nuclear power explosions. The world&#8217;s supply of milk is affected more than a plant-based food because of the fat stores of a live animal.  Check your iodine levels periodically to ensure the safety of your thyroid gland from over-exposure. </strong></p>

They do this by making sure intra-epithelial lymphocytes (IELs), which are special immune cells in the gut, function properly. In experiments, researchers fed mice a vegetable-poor diet for several weeks and found that 70-80% of these IELs disappeared! They equated what they saw in mice to people with inflammatory bowel disease. So its important to eat your vegetables to reduce your risk of this ailment. In addition, blueberries are great for their antioxidant qualities which help fight free radicals that can cause cancer and heart disease. Green tea is another antioxidant that boosts the immune system with its polyphenols which have been shown to prevent the formation of tumors.</p>

Some of the common causes that contribute to <a title="Adrenal fatigue" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adrenal_fatigue" rel="wikipedia">adrenal exhaustion</a>  in addition to stress, are poor diet, over-consumption of sugar and refined carbohydrates, overuse of caffeine, alcohol, drugs, nicotine, and vitamin B and C deficiencies.  Symptoms include fatigue, weakness, depression, <a title="Sexual Health Your Guide To Premenstrual Syndrome" href="http://women.webmd.com/guide/sexual-health-your-guide-to-premenstrual-syndrome" rel="webmd">PMS</a>, nervousness, inability to concentrate, lightheadedness, sweet cravings, irritability, insomnia, and headaches.</p>
<p>According to the American Institute of Stress, up to 75-90 % of doctor visits in <a class="zem_slink" title="The States" href="http://www.history.com/topics/states" rel="historycom">the US</a> are <a class="zem_slink" title="Stress (biology)" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stress_%28biology%29" rel="wikipedia">stress</a> related. Work is the biggest stressor (46% of all employees are stressed out according to the Washington Business Group on Health), with women being affected more than men.</p>
<p>Stress is directly related to <a class="zem_slink" title="Adrenal gland" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adrenal_gland" rel="wikipedia">adrenal gland</a> <a class="zem_slink" title="Fatigue (medical)" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatigue_%28medical%29" rel="wikipedia">fatigue</a>. They are responsible for producing several important hormones and are critical to the stress response. The medulla, which is the inner part, pours out epinephrine (adrenaline) and norepinephrine. These hormones speed up the body&#8217;s metabolism in order to help us to cope with stress. These are the two most important hormones in the body. They govern the <a class="zem_slink" title="Fight-or-flight response" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fight-or-flight_response" rel="wikipedia">fight or flight response</a> (alarm reaction), and are almost a direct extension of the nervous system.</p>
<p>So what can we do about this? Number one is to try to reduce whatever is stressing us out. Next, watch your diet and stop eating so much sugar or high-glycemic carbs and cut down on your caffeine and nicotine. Add  supplements like pantothenic acid, vitamin C, <a class="zem_slink" title="Vitamin" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitamin" rel="wikipedia">Vitamin</a> B 6, Zinc, and Magnesium to your vitamin regimen. Also investigate reish mushroom, holy basil (a good antiflammatory as well as having a calming effect), ashwaganda and certain flower remedies. Getting more sleep is a good thing as it helps prevent adrenalin spikes that may occur because you are tired and not able to cope with stress. Homeopathics also may be right for you as there are many combinations that help reduce stress. You also should be aware that low adrenal function may be directly related to thyroid insufficiency. Therefore, if you have tried through diet and lifestlye changes to get your adrenals back in line and you still experience symptoms a visit to your doctor for a thyroid test may be in order.<br />

<p>Most people think cancer is evil. Basically it’s a dysfunctional cell that has been misguided into not dying. The T cells in our body control these cancer cells. T cells convert nitrogen into nitric acid, which dissolves cancer cells, but normal cells don’t get affected because they are protected by SOD superoxide dismutase. SOD is produced in the body from electrolyte minerals, primarily manganese and selenium.</p>
<p>Cancer cells seek out nitrogen in our body’s protein, trying to starve the T cells. The nitrogen comes from protein stored in the muscle tissue and cancer eats away at this muscle to get at the nitrogen to deprive the T cells of food. Cancer cells get food from an in-growth of blood capillaries and grow a tough protein coating that is 13 times thicker than a regular cell. Cancer cells talk to healthy cells and send this erroneous DNA message (not to die) throughout our body. This is why even though we remove the cancerous body part, cancer recurs somewhere else years later. The message has been sent and festers in these healthy cells until they too become cancerous. We need to remove cancer’s ability to send these messages in order to control it.</p>
<p>We think of cancer as cells with attention deficit disorder. They are not bad. Just strayed off the path. If we think of cancer in this way we can see that we can affect its pathway through thought, diet and supplements. Fearing cancer and hating it sends a negative vibration throughout the body, which does not help the healing process. We must think of the cancer cells as kids with a problem. You don’t hit the kid with bigger and bigger weapons to make them shape up. You try to change their behavior.</p>
<p>In numerous studies over the last decade it has shown that if we foil cancer’s ability to sustain its irrational behavior, the cancer will become weakened enough for our T-cells to get the upper hand. Fermented soy foils the cancers plan and supports the protein in the muscle to reduce the protein wasting effect of chemotherapy. The fermented soy ingested  must be reduced to a small cellular amino acid state so it can break through the protein barrier of the cancer cell. Once the cancer cell eats this, the beneficial soy isoflavones, protease inhibitors, and phytosterols undo the cancer reprogramming it to die again, and imparting that DNA into daughter cells. The soy isoflavones Genistein and Diadzein cause the cancer cell to differentiate and change back to normal cells. It also inhibits the cancer cells ability to get food from the blood thus starving and weakening existing cancer cells. Single soybean extractions like soy isoflavonoids alone cannot do this as they are too large to get absorbed.</p>
<p>We have also discovered that cancer loves an inflammatory condition in the body. This is where it thrives. Chronic inflammation may not be visible but if you have ever taken antibiotics, vaccinations, fought infections or been under stress then you may have a chronic inflammatory condition. It is imperative that you not only treat the cancer but remove its happy home.</p>
<p>The protocol we use includes a femented soy drink,  and curcumin anti-inflammatory supplement, an essential fatty acid supplement (parent omega 6 4:1 to omega 3). Liquid 12-trace mineral electrolytes, digestive enzyme supplements with every meal, water that is 7.4 pH or higher and filtered (not distilled), a mostly vegetarian diet with no sugar or high-glycemic carbs. We have seen positive results in most cases. One client was facing a breast removal and with our protocol, a macrobiotic diet and chemotherapy she not only totally rid herself of the cancer in six months, but her hair grew back (she shaved her head) half way through the chemo treatment to the amazement of the oncologist. We also use this treatment to eliminate melanoma in two weeks and reduce tongue cancer two stages prior to surgery.</p>
<p>But, don’t just depend on putting things into your mouth and expecting these miracles. You must also change your attitude about cancer, reduce the fear as much as possible and use visualization, meditation and positive thinking to keep your vibrations harmonious with the healing process.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We need to pay attention to our eyes. It is believed that nearly half of Americans have low macular pigment optical density which is a possible risk fact for age-related macular degeneration (AMD). This condition gradually destroys sharp, central vision and affects reading and watching TV among other things. People over the age of 60 are in the greatest risk group. Dry AMD occurs when the light-sensitive cells in the macula break down. This accounts for about 90 % of the cases. Wet AMD is caused when new blood vessels grow under the retina and then bleed or leak damaging the macula. 90% of all AMD blindness is caused by this type. Prevention includes proper diets rich in lutein and zeaxanthin found readily in spinach and kale. Flavonoid carotenoids found in goji berry, spinach and ginkgo biloba hae good active levels of these phytocompounds. Along with lutein and zeaxanthin, beta-carotene, omega-3s and bilbery extract are among the extracts that have been utilized in supporting vision health. Dr. Michael Geiger has written a good little book called Eye Care Naturally. It is available on amazon.com and gives you good information on combatting not only AMD but cataracts and other eye conditions that we may face as we age.</p>

Among their many talents are anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-cancerous and anti-microbial. Studies have shown they hold promise for heart disease and high blood pressure. They are even being added to beverages as functional items.  Usually extracted with organic solvents which can be expensive, toxic and difficult to dispose, Univ. of Arkansas researchers are &#8220;greening&#8221; the process by using pressurized water, a technique called subcritical water processing.
